Today’s world has been so tainted with terrorism, scams, fraud, and discontent, that in our communities, we see the poor, the homeless, the hungry and refugees as dangerous threats, and distrust people whose language and culture are different from our own. As such, instead of sharing the love of Christ in power of the Holy Spirit with them, we have sought to protect ourselves by building boundaries and barriers on the basis of economic and social differences, denomination and educational background.
